Folke Rydén

Folke Rydén, born 1958 in Uppsala, Sweden is a Swedish journalist and filmmaker.

In 1989 he became the US Correspondent for SVT, based in Washington. In 1996 he moved to Hong Kong.

Folke Ryden has won numerous international awards and his documentaries have been shown all over the world. In 1993, he was awarded the Bonnier Grand Prize in journalism – the most prestigious journalism award in Sweden.Fact|date=April 2008

Today Folke Rydén is living and working in Sweden where he has his own production company, FRP AB.

As one of Sweden’s leading documentary and non-fiction programme production companies, FRP produces films in current affairs, social issues, human rights issues, history, politics, science, culture and sports.

FRP is committed to imaginative, entertaining and insightful programming. The company is currently involved in documentaries, cinema releases and television series.

Productions have been aired by more than 40 broadcasters, shown in over 30 countries and have garnered dozens of international awards. The company is based in Stockholm, Sweden.
