variants with their own articles=The Heinkel HE 3 was a sports aircraft built in Germany in the early 1920s. It was a conventional, low-wing monoplane with seating for two people in tandem open cockpits. It was a development of the HE 3, but with the side-by-side seating in the forward cockpit dispensed with, the HE 18's fuselage was slimmer. Also gone were the HE 3's cantilever wings, the HE 18 wings being braced by a pair of struts on each side, arranged in a V-shape with a single attachment point on each side of the upper fuselage. A roll-bar was available that could be fitted in order to protect the occupants in case of a roll-over on the ground. The wings could be folded flat along the sides of the fuselage for transport or storage, and a choice of wheeled or float undercarriage was available.pecifications (HE 18)
