Sabah Husseini Shobar

Ayatollah Sayed Sabah Husseini Shobar (Arabic: سيد صباح شبر) (b. 1954) is a scholar that lives in Kuwait. He leads prayers daily at the Mazidi Mosque in downtown Kuwait City.

Early life

He was born in 1954 in Baghdad Iraq. The first 2 years of his life he lived in Najaf, Iraq as his father taught in the seminnary of Najaf. When he was 2 years old, his father moved to Kuwait to propagate, teach and guide the people of Kuwait. As Sabah grew, he followed in his fathers' footsteps and began to study Islamic theology at the hands of his father and father-in-law. When his father died, he took his position as a scholar for the people of Kuwait.

Leadership

He currently leads the prayers at the Mazidi Moasque. He also teaches nightly classes and solves many social issues in the community he lives in.

He has published many books over the years. His two major books are:
- "My Father" (Stories from his father)
- "Misconceptions in Islamic Laws and Rulings"
