Te Araroa Trail

Te Araroa (The Long Pathway) is New Zealand's newest long distance tramping route, from Cape Reinga to Bluff. It is being built by the Te Araroa Trust and is due for completion in 2010 - some sections are already open.

The straight line distance from Cape Reinga to Bluff is 1475 km, however the Te Araroa Trail will cover a longer distance of approximately 2100kmFact|date=March 2008. It is estimated that a tramp along the full length of the trail will take approximately 4 monthsFact|date=March 2008.
