The 2008 Valero Alamo Bowl is a college football bowl game that is part of the 2008–2009 bowl season of the 2008 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The 2008 game will be the 16th annual edition of the contest, the second to be sponsored by Valero Energy Corporation, and will be played on December 29, 2008 in the 65,000-seat Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, to be nationally televised by ESPN.
