He was born in
Gortynia and was a son of one of the calmest chiefs in the Peloponnese (then Morea), Ioannis Deligiannis. Due to the precedence of his family in the area which became according to the chief in the revolution he played an important role.He battled Messolonghi, Peta, sieged Tripolitsa and other parts. During the first Greek Civil War, he joined with many chiefs of the Peloponnese and Hydra and surpassed even
Theodoros Kolokotronis . He became a president of theGreek Parliament in 1844 and ran until 1845.He also wrote several memoirs that tried to present the Turkish mutiny of his father which it was beneficent among the Greek population and the protection of the Morea's peace. The third work that intended had restored by the family honor in which after the revolution lost its validity.
He died in 1862.
