The Potez 29 was based on the earlier
Potez 25 , it had the same wings and engines but a new fuselage with an enclosed cockpit for two crew and a cabin for for five passengers. The Potez 29 was a biplane with a fixed tailskid landing gear and powered by a nose-mounted 450hp (335kW) Lorraine 12Eb broad-arrow piston engine. The 29 proved to be a success and it entered service with civilian airlines and 120 were delivered to the French Air Force mainly as an ambulance aircraft and light transport.Variants
