William Hale-White

William Hale-White

Sir William Hale-White (1857-1949), was a distinguished British physician and medical biographer. He was the son of writer Mark Rutherford. During the First World War he was a colonel in the RAMC and was created KBE in 1919 [ [http://www.1911encyclopedia.org/Mark_(William_Hale_White_Rutherford) Mark (William Hale White Rutherford) - LoveToKnow 1911 ] ] . He was president of the Association of Physicians of Great Britain and Ireland in 1930 [ [http://www.associationofphysicians.co.uk/meetingsall.html Association of Physicians ] ] and also a president of the Royal Society of Medicine [ [http://www.oldframlinghamian.com/images/articles/SIRWILLIAMHALE-WHITE1870-74.pdf www.oldframlinghamian.com] ] .
