He was drafted in the first round of the
1995 NHL Entry Draft , 10th overall, by the Panthers. He has played for theFlorida Panthers ,New York Rangers andEdmonton Oilers . He was traded to theSan Jose Sharks but was traded by the Sharks to the Rangers the very same day.Dvořák played in the NHL the very next season, and spent four and a half seasons playing for Florida, before being involved in a three-way trade for Mike Vernon. Dvořák ended up on the
New York Rangers , and the following season (2000/01), he scored a career-high 30 goals and 67 points playing on a line with fellow CzechsPetr Nedvěd andJan Hlaváč . Dvořák was traded to theEdmonton Oilers at the 2002/03 NHL trade deadline, along withCory Cross , forAnson Carter andAles Pisa .Dvořák returned to his native Czech Republic for the
2004–05 NHL lockout , and has represented his country at world championships, and the2002 Winter Olympics inSalt Lake City ,Utah .In the
2005–06 NHL season , Dvořák was part of theEdmonton Oilers Stanley Cup Finalists team. On September 14, 2006, Dvořák signed a contract with the St. Louis Blues as an unrestricted free agent.Transactions
