"Essential Cusco: The Journey" is a compilation album by German cross-cultural new age band Cusco. It was released in 2005 under the Higher Octave label, and was produced by lead musician of the band Michael Holm. This collection includes tracks from the Higher Octave albums released between 1988 and 2003, although the albums Mystic Island, Water Stories, and A Choral Christmas are not represented. Several of the tracks on this compilation were also released on the previous compilation album The Best of Cusco.
