Wayne Robbins and The Hellsayers

Wayne Robbins and The Hellsayers is a rock band based in Asheville, North Carolina. The band consists of members Wayne Robbins (vocals and guitar, and principle songwriter), Jeff Whitworth (lap steel and guitar), Jonas Cole (guitars and keys), Erich Hubner (bass) and Scott Ernest (drums). Their first album, "The Lonesome Sea", was released on De'll Orso Records in London to critical acclaim ( [http://www.uncut.co.uk/ "Uncut"] magazine gave it four stars), but it did not have a U.S. release. The band completed a successful tour of Europe in May 2007 in support of Band of Horses, playing gigs at such high-profile venues as Scala in London, [http://www.vera-groningen.nl/ Vera] in Groningen, and [http://www.tivoli.nl/ Tivoli] in Utrecht. The band is currently shopping its finished second album, "All You Need To Sleep", to labels in the U.S.
