The White-collared Brown Lemur ("Eulemur albocollaris") is a medium-sized prosimian in the order Primates, a cathemeral species of lemur in the Lemuridae family. This species was formerly listed as a subspecies of the Common Brown Lemur ("Eulemur fulvus") until elevated in 2001 and accepted by the IUCN/SSC Conservation Breeding Specialist Group (CBSG) in 2002. In 2005, satellite imagery estimates showed approximately 700 km² of total remaining habitat within its geographic range.
