- Aba CM Enablement
Aba CM Enablement is an engineering data management, configuration management and change control tool that allows users connected only by a TCP/IP network to share and control data. Most CM tools only control a small part of a project's configuration; Aba makes it possible to control whole project configurations in a completely integrated way.
Users access Aba using web browsers on any platform. The controlled data reside on supported platforms, currently Solaris(R) 2,
Linux eg. Red Hat Version 7 (and later),Fedora (Core and later), and Microsoft Windows NT and 2000(R) machines (Filing System manager daemon only).Aba does not take controlled data away from users; it controls the data in situ using the Controlled Local Store (CLS) concept. Tool integrations of Aba with HOOD,
Teamwork , I-LogixRhapsody (tm), TelelogicDOORS and general purpose tools that store their data in pieces of UNIX, Linux or Windows NT filing system exists and others can be added to support most tools that have an Applications Programming Interface (API).Aba V2.2.17 and later also include an interface to
Subversion on Linux andUNIX , so that version controlled files can be brought under more formal control.More abstract functions provided by Aba include Peer Reviewing, Meeting management, Action Tracking, Change Control and Problem Reporting and Tracking. Also, general purpose Action tracking is now supported.
Aba supports quality systems that comply with AQAP-1, AQAP-13, ISO 9000, EN ISO 10007, SEI CMM and CMMI L3, MIL-STD-498, DOD-STD-2167(A), DEF STAN 05-57, DEF STAN 00-55/56.
As of 2008, the tool is used in Thales UK by over 400 users.
