King Abdulaziz City for Science & Technology

King Abdulaziz City for Science & Technology (KACST) (Arabic: مدينة الملك عبدالعزيز للعلوم والتقنية), located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is an organization established in 1977 as the Saudi Arabian National Center for Science & Technology (SANCST); it was renamed in 1985 King Abdulaziz City for Science & Technology.

In 1984 it named Abdul Rahman Al-Athel as its President.Recently the president is Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Al-Suwaiyel who used to be the KACST vice president for research. Now, HH Dr. Turki AL Saud is the current KACST vice president.

The research complex is divided into the following research institutes:

*Computer and Electronics Research Institute
*Petroleum and Petrochemical
*Energy Research
*Resource and Development
*Astronomy and Geophysics
*Space Research
