Psychiatry MMC [http://www.psychiatrymmc.com] [ISSN 1550-5952] , also known as "Psychiatry 2008", is a peer-reviewed monthly journal that mails to 40,000 US-based psychiatrists. Launched as "Psychiatry 2004", the Journal title is updated each year with the year designation; thus, for 2009, the title becomes "Psychiatry 2009". "Psychiatry 2008" is published monthly by Matrix Medical Communications in Edgemont, Pennsylvania.
Backqround: "Psychiatry 2008" was created in order to provide psychiatrists with up-to-date, evidence-based information on the latest treatment options, new techniques, and practice management issues to improve their daily practice. The journal's mission is to provide practical information on a broad range of topics that is based on the latest research and is presented in a straightforward “how-to” fashion. A goal of the journal is to translate the vast amount of psychiatric and CNS research into applicable information for the practicing clinician.
