"Psychiatry 2008" is published monthly by Matrix Medical Communications in Edgemont, Pennsylvania.

Backqround: "Psychiatry 2008" was created in order to provide psychiatrists with up-to-date, evidence-based information on the latest treatment options, new techniques, and practice management issues to improve their daily practice. The journal's mission is to provide practical information on a broad range of topics that is based on the latest research and is presented in a straightforward “how-to” fashion. A goal of the journal is to translate the vast amount of psychiatric and CNS research into applicable information for the practicing clinician. Amir Kalali, MD, editor, oversees an editorial advisory board [http://www.psychiatrymmc.com/about/editorial-board/] that comprises 65 leaders covering all areas of psychiatric medicine.

"Psychiatry 2008" publishes solicited and unsolicited submissions, which include original research, discussions on the latest research, reviews, case reports, and commentaries on contemporary topics in psychiatry. The articles are written by key opinion leaders as well as practicing clinicians. All submissions undergo peer review to ensure that the material is clinically relevant and concise.
