Alcimachus of Pydna

Alcimachus of Pydna

Alcimachus of Pydna, son of Neoptolemus, was a child buried in Pydna (2nd/1st century BC). The epigraphy [ [http://epigraphy.packhum.org/inscriptions/oi?ikey=152580&bookid=172&region=4&subregion=11 SEG 12:340] ] of the tomb stele declares that he was a descendant of Olympias(mother of Alexander). Pydna is also a possible place for the tomb of Olympias.
