The 2009 World Women's Curling Championship will be held in Gangneung, Korea from March 21st to 29th.
Qualifaction
A regional qualification system will be used as in years past. Korea is qualified as host and Canada as defending champions. One more Pacific region team from the 2008 Pacific Curling Championships in November, eight European teams from the 2008 European Curling Championships in December. The United States will also automatically qualify as the second American region team.
