Robert Hoehl

Robert "Bob" Hoehl is a technology leader and a Vermont philanthropist. He graduated from Saint Michael's College in 1963 with a degree in mathematics.

After working at IBM as a computer programmer, he founded Burlington Data Processing (BDP) in 1969 with Richard Tarrant. BDP ultimately changed its name to IDX Systems Corporation and became a leading provider of software to the health care industry.

Bob and his wife Cynthia Hoehl have supported many Vermont organizations, including Community Health Center of Burlington, Preservation Trust of Vermont, Newman Catholic Center at the University of Vermont, Lake Champlain Basin Science Center, Saint Michael's College, the Boys and Girls Club, and Vermont's United Way.

Cynthia and Bob Hoehl live in Naples, Florida and also maintain a residence in South Burlington, Vermont. The Hoehls funded the Hoehl Welcome Center at Saint Michael's College.
