History and mission
Noshirvani Institute of Technology was founded in 1970 by a great benevolent and honorable man and one of the greatest philanthropists of Iran, the late Seyed Hossein Fallah Noshirvani. The college is situated in Babol a city in Mazandaran Province in the north of Iran, 20 km south of the Caspian Sea.
In 1972 this institution was named Higher Technical Teacher's Training College where the selected students were trained to be qualified technical teachers in Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering. In 1979 through the University Commission, the Higher Technical Teacher's College was amalgamated in the University of Mazandaran as University's Engineering College offering undergraduate and graduate courses.
NIT is a coeducational institution and is praised for its high disciplined status in the country. Our Noshirvani Engineering College continues to move forward with its tradition of excellence and leadership in engineering education, research and development. We are an innovative faculty with good ties with national industry, which ensures and expects that our students are taught a current and relevant curriculum by excellent professors and academic staff.
NIT's intimate size and friendly education environment help create a welcoming atmosphere. When the academic staff is not teaching, they are working on groundbreaking research. They are always available for help outside class, provide guidance for education and professional career development.
It was established in 1970 as Technical Teachers Training Institute of Babol. In 1979 it amalgamated with University of Mazandaran and operated as University of Mazandaran Faculty of Engineering. In 2005, the process of independence from University of Mazandaran started and until March 2008 it was operated as Noshirvani Institute of Technology (Babol Noshiravani Technical and Education Complex).
In March 2008 it was upgraded to the Babol (Noshirvani) University of Technology.
Campus
The college was constructed on 11 hectares land and occupies three big buildings and four spacious workshops and laboratory blocks housing four engineering departments.
NIT is proud to have the biggest and most spacious amphitheater in Mazandaran. It is well equipped with all facilities (video projection, advance sound track system and lighting system) required for the local and national educational seminars and other regular college and local functions. The amphitheater is furnished with 750 comfortable seats (550 seats in the main hall and 200 seats in balcony).
Adjacent to the amphitheater is an administration block housing the director’s and deputy director’s offices.
Schools
- Mechanical Engineering: The School of Mechanical Engineering, with experienced faculty members and experts, is of the most active scientific centers. It began its activity with accepting undergraduate students. Each year, many research and industrial projects in application areas stage to be implemented by academic staffs and students in this college. Currently, the School of Mechanical Engineering is attempting to organize new student s admission continuously in undergraduate, master and PhD. Faculty members in this college is consisting of 26 permanent members (two professors, six associate professors, 15 assistant professors, and three mentors). In 2009, it held two conferences about Fluid Dynamics and Manufacturing Dynamics, 126 ISI articles, 56 scientific research and 100 conferences articles and 10 applied research projects.

- Basic Sciences: The School of Basic Science is the newest one: It improved from Department of Basic Science to School of Basic Science in 2010. In addition to teaching basic courses to all undergraduate of other colleges, students are accepted in senior undergraduate degree in Pure Mathematics. There are 12 permanent faculty members in this college: 10 assistants and two instructors.
Science journals
Journal of Numerical Simulation in Engineering (JNSE) considers all manuscripts in English on the strict condition that they have been submitted only to JNSE, that they have not been published already, nor are they under consideration for publication or in press elsewhere. Authors who fail to adhere to this condition their current and future submissions will not be accepted.
Contributions to the JNSE must report original numerical research and/or applications, and are reviewed by a number of referees, at the discretion of the Editorial Board in a double-blind manner. The main aim of the JNSE is to provide a unique interdisciplinary forum to publish papers dealing with mathematical models and computational methods and algorithms for the numerical simulation of natural processes arising in applied science and engineering. Special emphasis will be placed on both upstream and applied research and on the transfer of technology to the industry in the disciplines of aerospace, chemical, civil, mechanical, electrical engineering, and computational biology, chemistry, and materials science. Papers dealing with novel computational methods to model current and emerging technologies in micro-electromechanical systems, electromagnetic, biotechnology and nanotechnology are encouraged.
Authors are encouraged to as much as possible address the following points in their paper:
- The order of accuracy of the numerical method,
- The method's verification against closed-form, manufactured or acknowledged highly-accurate numerical solutions,
- The method's validation against reliable experimental results, or at the least other numerical solutions (in this case clearly explaining the advantages of the new method),
- The level of grid dependence of results, and space discretization errors,
- The level of convergence in time, and time discretization errors.
Papers based on a commercial code are subject to the same scientific scrutiny and, because of their nature, must clearly highlight the authors' algorithmic or modeling contributions, as well as represent a new application area of broad interest to the JNSE readers and not only to the users of that particular commercial code
World Applied Sciences Journal (WASJ) is an international scientific journal published by the international digital organization for scientific information (IDOSI). The aim of World Applied Sciences Journal is to publish articles in biological sciences, biodiversity, biotechnology, clinical sciences, animal and veterinary sciences, agricultural sciences, chemistry, environmental sciences, physics, mathematics and statistics, geology, engineering, computer science, social sciences and information technology.
The journal invites original papers, review articles, technical reports and short communications containing new insight into any aspect of applied sciences that are not published or not being considered for publication elsewhere. The publication of submitted manuscripts is subject to peer review and both general and technical aspects of the submitted paper are reviewed before publication. Authors are advised to suggest several potential reviewers who are familiar with the technical aspect of their paper. Final decision on any paper is made by the Editor In Chief.
WASJ offers
- Publication within a short period after acceptance.
- Online publication in advance of the printed journal.
- Papers abstract indexed by all the major scientific indexing services.
- One journal copy with 5 offprints will be sent to the corresponding author
- Articles may be submitted for special issues.
Iranica Journal of Energy and Environment (IJEE) is an international scientific journal from Babol University of Technology published by the International Digital Organization for Scientific Information (IDOSI). The aim of the journal is to develop the international exchange of scientific and technical information in the fields of enery and environmental engineering.
All manuscripts with significant research results in the areas of energy and environment and their application are welcome. Four types of papers appear in the journal: Research Papers, Research Notes, Technical Notes, Short Engineering Communcation Data and Reviews.
Iranica Journal of Energy and Environment (IJEE) appears four times, January, April, July and October every year considering the increasing importance of rapid, effective, international communication. Special issues on different occasions may be published.
Electronic submission of manuscripts is strongly encouraged, provided that the text, tables, and figures are included in a single Microsoft Word file. Submit manuscripts as e-mail attachment to the Editor-in-chief at najafpour8@gmail.com or idosi.editor@gmail.com.
IJEE offers
