Hijak Oscar are a blues band based in York, England. They are best known as the joint 3rd runners up in the Channel 4 TV programme Mobile Act Unsigned. They are made up of members:
* Tim Fox aka Geoff Capes (Lead Vocal, Harmonica)
* Gaby Milner (Lead Vocal)
* Carl Hetherington (Keys, Backing Vocal)
* Mark Meilack (Bass)
* Dave Hartley (Drums)
* Dan Hill (Guitar)

Hijak Oscar have played all over the country supporting bands such as Alabama 3, Son of Dave, Jack Penate, Mostly Autumn, and Shed Seven as well as headlining shows in and out of the York music scene and being featured in The Sandman Magazine.

In late 2006, Hijak self produced their successful self-titled debut album, which has sold over 3000 copies in the UK with absolutely no help from distribution or label deals.

Throughout 2006-2007 Hijak Oscar performed several times live on BBC Radio and competed for a record deal on Mobile Act Unsigned where they certainly impressed many viewers.

In 2008, Lead vocalist Emma Keaveney and lead guitarist Mark Wynn left the band to pursue new directions and have been replaced by vocalist Gaby Milner and guitarist Rob Gambell.

Since August 2008 Rob Gambell has also parted ways with the band and new guitarist Daniel Hill has taken over his role within the outfit.

Many look forward to the release of their second album "Black Sheep Money Box."
