The Brescia Metrobus is a rapid transit network under construction in the Italian city of Brescia. The first line will be 13.1 km long, with 17 stations from Buffalora to Prealpino.

A €575m contract was awarded to a consortium led by Ansaldo STS in April 2003.cite news | title=Automation in a medium-sized city | publisher = "Railway Gazette International" | date=April 2008 | url = http://www.railwaygazette.com/news_view/article/2008/04/8347/automation_in_a_medium_sized_city.html | author=Francesco Di Maio] Work started in January 2004, but archaeological finds caused delays and required the redesign of stations. The line is now due to open in 2012.

Trains

The driverless Ansaldobreda trains will be the same as the trains on the Copenhagen Metro, and those to be supplied to Rome Metro, Thessaloniki Metro and Milan.
