- SKIP
Skeletal muscle and kidney enriched inositol phosphatase, also known as SKIP, is a human
gene .cite web | title = Entrez Gene: SKIP skeletal muscle and kidney enriched inositol phosphatase| url = http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/entrez?Db=gene&Cmd=ShowDetailView&TermToSearch=51763| accessdate = ]PBB_Summary
section_title =
summary_text = This gene encodes a protein with 5-phosphatase activity toward polyphosphate inositol. The protein localizes to the cytosol in regions lacking actin stress fibers. It is thought that this protein may negatively regulate the actin cytoskeleton. Alternative splicing of this gene results in two transcript variants encoding different isoforms.cite web | title = Entrez Gene: SKIP skeletal muscle and kidney enriched inositol phosphatase| url = http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/entrez?Db=gene&Cmd=ShowDetailView&TermToSearch=51763| accessdate = ]References
