Walter Bruchhausen (b.
May 29 ,1892 ,Brooklyn, NY , d.October 11 ,1976 ) a federal judge for theUnited States District Court for the Eastern District of New York . Judge Bruchhausen received anLL.B. from theNew York University School of Law in 1912. He was nominated to the court byDwight D. Eisenhower onApril 18 ,1953 , to a seat vacated byHarold M. Kennedy , confirmed by the Senate onMay 7 ,1953 , and received his commission onMay 8 ,1953 . He served as chief judge from 1959 to 1962. He assumed senior status onMay 20 ,1967 and his service terminated onOctober 11 ,1976 , due to death.External links
