Haroon Lorgat

Haroon Lorgat (born May 26, 1960) is a South African businessman and chartered accountant. He was appointed chief executive of the International Cricket Council on April 4, 2008, succeeding Malcolm Speed, an Australian. Lorgat is also chief executive of Kapela Investment Holdings, based in Cape Town and Johannesburg, and was a senior partner at Ernst & Young from 2002 until 2007.

Lorgat is of Indian descent. He is a member of the Association for the Advancement of Black Accountants of Southern Africa. He played first-class cricket in the country from 1977 until 1991, in the final years of apartheid.
