United States House of Representatives election in Montana, 2008

The 2008 United States House of Representatives election in Montana will take place on Tuesday, November 4, 2008. Voters will select a single representative for the ushr|Montana|1|At-large District ( [http://nationalatlas.gov/printable/images/preview/congdist/mt01_109.gifmap] ), who will run on a statewide ballot. Incumbent Representative Denny Rehberg is seeking re-election; he was originally elected in 2000 with 52% of the vote. He is currently serving as a member of U.S. House of Representatives and was formerly a Billings area rancher, state legislator (1984-90) and Montana Lieutenant Governor (1991-96).

Primary

Republican Party:Incumbent Denny Rehberg ran uncontested and will appear on the ballot in the fall as the republican nominee.

Democratic Primary:
*John Driscoll, formerly a state legislator and Public Service Commissioner, now living in Helena, MT.
