October 23 ,1968 inRose Hill, Kansas ) is a retiredAmerican football player who most recently played multiple positions for theKansas City Chiefs . Gammon currently serves as a field reporter for the Kansas City Chiefs' radio broadcasts on "101 The Fox".Gammon was originally drafted by the
Pittsburgh Steelers in the1992 NFL Draft , after a four-year career atPittsburg State University . In college, he playedtight end ,offensive tackle , and offensive guard, and handled the long-snap duties. When he went to the Steelers, he was the long snapper from 1992 to 1995, and occasionally filled in on theoffensive line . He spent four seasons in New Orleans, and signed with the Chiefs as afree agent in February of 2000. He was named to thePro Bowl in 2005 as aspecial teams player, handling the long snapping duties for the AFC team. Gammon has a recently published book on the shelves called "Life's a Snap". The Chiefs released Gammon prior to the 2007 season.In January 2008, Gammon returned to PSU, in
Pittsburg, Kansas , and serves as the university’s first major gifts officer for the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics.
