Marcella Echavarría (born 1972) is the founder of SURevolution, a sustainable luxury goods company launched with the help of Donna Karan in 2004.[1]
Born and raised in Medellín, Colombia, Echavarría attended Brown University[2], where she studied before returning to Bogotá to work as a journalist and stylist until founding SURevolution in 2004. Her work has appeared in Departures magazine, Gourmet Latin America, Harper’s Bazaar, and Revista Axxis. Echavarría is based in New York City. In addition to her work for SURevolution, she is co-authoring a book about entrepreneurialism and Colombia with Caroline Callahan Janson and studying to be a kundalini yoga instructor with Hari Kaur. She is a consultant for Urban Zen and the Donna Karan initiative.
