Skryne (Irish place name|An Scrín) is a small village with apopulation of 1400 (Census 2002), situated on and around a hill between the N2 and N3 national primary roads in County Meath, Ireland. It is situated on the far side of the Gabhra valley from the Hill of Tara. This valley is sometimes referred to as the Tara-Skryne Valley. The Hill of Skryne is actually higher than the neighbouring Hill of Tara. A 15th century church, known locally as Skryne tower, remains in good condition at the top of the hill and is visible from a large area of County Meath. At the foot of the tower is the renowned O'Connells pub and nearby horse stables, which both feature in the Guinness white Christmas television advert which was run in Ireland and the UK in 2004, 2005 and 2006 and is planned to be shown annually.

The village itself is set on a straight piece of road which dips in the middle. The is a church, local primary school and hall at one end and at the other is Swan's pub and a number of houses and buildings. In between are a number of council houses.

Skryne is also very well known for its Gaelic football club. The club is the second most successful team in Meath football history and have the envious honour of having never been relegated from senior level in the Meath Gaelic Athletic Association football championship, The Keegan Cup. The club also has a proud history of also having had at least one player on every Meath team that has won the All-Ireland Football Championship, the Sam Maguire Cup. The club have been crowned county champions on numerous occasions, most recently 2004 when they defeated Simonstown,a Navan based club. Skryne went on to reach the Leinster Club Final that year, a remarkable achievement for a rural parish club.
