Nycteras

Nycteris is one of the two main characters in George MacDonald's short story Photogen and Nycteris, also known as The Day Boy and the Night Girl.

Description

Nycteris is "The Night Girl": a girl that Watho the witch has kept in darkness all her life. The story tells of the bravery of their escape from the witch and how they come to help and ultimately love one another.
