F. Michael Watson

Frank Michael Watson (born 9 March 1943) has been the secretary to the First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) since 1986 [http://deseretnews.com/article/1,5143,695267801,00.html "Brief biographies of new leaders called to LDS Church hierarchy"] , "Deseret Morning News", 2008-06-05.] and a general authority of the LDS Church since 2008.

Watson was born in Spring City, Utah. He received a bachelor's degree in business and office administration from Utah State University. He was in the United States Army for three years and was awarded the Bronze Star and Army Commendation Medals.

Prior to his service as secretary to the First Presidency Watson had served as secretary to the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of the LDS Church. He has served as a president of the Bountiful Utah South Stake of the church ["Church News", November 23, 1996.] and a temple sealer in the Bountiful Utah Temple.

In April 2008, Watson was called as a member of the First Quorum of the Seventy of the LDS Church.
