Frank Michael Watson (born
9 March 1943 ) has been the secretary to the First Presidency ofThe Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) since 1986 [http://deseretnews.com/article/1,5143,695267801,00.html "Brief biographies of new leaders called to LDS Church hierarchy"] , "Deseret Morning News ",2008-06-05 .] and ageneral authority of the LDS Church since 2008.Watson was born in Spring City,
Utah . He received abachelor's degree in business and office administration fromUtah State University . He was in theUnited States Army for three years and was awarded the Bronze Star andArmy Commendation Medal s.Prior to his service as secretary to the First Presidency Watson had served as secretary to the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of the LDS Church. He has served as a president of the Bountiful Utah South Stake of the church ["
Church News ",November 23 ,1996 .] and a temple sealer in theBountiful Utah Temple .In April 2008, Watson was called as a member of the
First Quorum of the Seventy of the LDS Church.
