names = HIP 84856 b, HR 6441 bHD 156846 b is an
extrasolar planet located approximately 160light-year s away in theconstellation ofOphiuchus , orbiting thestar HD 156846 . It has one of the most eccentric planets of all (e=0.8472). The high eccentricity of this planet is probably caused by the presence of ared dwarf companion star. The average distance of a planet fromHD 156846 is 0.99 AU, which is very similar to the distance of Earth from the Sun. The distance ranges from 0.15 AU to 1.83 AU with 360 day period. It is also very massive with 10.45Jupiter mass es, however the mass is at lower limit because theinclination of the orbit is not known. If inclination and hencetrue mass became known, it would probably be abrown dwarf .See also
