Distribution in Egypt: Northern of the Eastern Desert & Northern Sinai

Ecology: - It inhabits low land desert, particularly sandy areas.

During extremely hot weather, it may climb on bushes.

- It is diurnal

Remarks: - Males are generally famous by their remarkable blue colour at the ventral side of the neck.
