Cooking Cleverly With Beverly

Cooking Cleverly With Beverly

Cooking Cleverly With Beverly was a half-hour, low budget "alternative" vegan cooking show which aired in 2003 on Sydney's community access Channel 31 (now TVS). [ [http://everything2.com/e2node/Cooking%2520Cleverly%2520with%2520Beverly Cooking Cleverly with Beverly@Everything2.com ] ] The show was hosted by Beverly Sheen, who was fictional, so Suzy Spoon took her place.

Cast

Bev

Bev doesn't exist - a lot of the show was dedicated to making up reasons for her absence, such as being delayed in Coober Pedy on an opal mining trip.

Suzy Spoon

Suzy Spoon [ [http://suzyspoon.com/pages/presenting.html Suzy Spoon - TV Presenting ] ] was the host of the show, and often had special guests and friends appear.

Jaspa

Jaspa was a work experience boy who helped Suzy (and presumably Bev) with more mundane tasks, like juicing fruit.

Georgie Diamond

Suzy Spoon's dog.

The Show

There were 8 episodes of the show [ [http://suzyspoon.com/pages/presenting.html Suzy Spoon - TV Presenting ] ] , which were screened on Channel 31 on Sunday nights at 6:30PM, and possibly repeated at other times.

Advertising

The show featured some low budget advertising for Sydney organisations like Reverse Garbage, presumably sponsors of the show.
