Archie Hallam is a fictional character in the soap opera "Doctors", portrayed by actor Matt Kennard from 2007 to the present.

Character

Archie first arrived at The Mill Health Centre in August. Archie is a good friend of Michelle Corrigan. Michelle got Archie a job at The Mill.

Fun to be with, outgoing and an excellent listener, Archie's everyone's friend. He's a Jack the Lad but tries to live a green, organic lifestyle and always recycles everything he can. He's passionate about football, riding his bike and growing his own vegetables.

Archie's greatest fear is being disappointed. He never pushed himself as hard as his high-flying brothers and sisters and went into nursing for fear of failing as a doctor.

Aware of the professional limits of his job, Archie would never overstep the mark. He'll flirt if he finds someone attractive but won't take it any further if she's out of his league.

In January of 2008 he started dating the female doctor Melody Bell although has since split up with her after he told the police about her brother dealing drugs from her apartment.

He dislikes Dr Daniel Granger as he sees him as a bit of a show off and was worried about losing Melody to him and although Melody finally slept with Daniel she soon caught him with another woman and so seems to have gone off him.
