Geraldine O'Connell

Geraldine O'Connell, also known as Geraldine O'Connell Cusack, is an American author.

Geraldine O'Connell has written two books: "Children of the Far-Flung" (2003) and "Winds the Road North" (2005). She is the sister of the Irish actress, director and founder of the Focus Theatre, Deirdre O'Connell. She has worked as a teacher in the South Bronx in New York City, on curriculum development for bilingual-bicultural program with the Seminole Indian Tribe in Florida. She was also the director of a learning facility for expatriate and local children in the Atacama Desert of northern Chile, and an Ireland aid worker developing locally produced learning materials and Kiswahili language text books for Tanzanian primary schools. She now works for the Dublin City Vocational Education Committee at a training workshop for inner-city youth.
