"Sam Sparro" is the self-titled, debut album by Sam Sparro. It was released in the UK on 28 April 2008, after the success of Sparro's debut single, "Black and Gold", which peaked at number two on the UK Singles Chart. The album debuted at number five during its first week of release in the UK, and moved up one spot to number four, its current peak, in its second week of release. In September, 2008 the nominees for the 2008 ARIA Awards with the album receiving three nominations including "Best Male Artist", "Best Pop Release" and "Breakthrough Artist - Album" [Undercover [http://www.undercover.com.au/News-Story.aspx?id=6263 2008 ARIA Awards Nominees Announced... Singles

#"Black and Gold" was the lead single from the album. The song became a big hit in the U.K., entering the UK Singles Chart at #23 and went on to peak at #2 for three non-consecutive weeks.
#"21st Century Life" was the second single from the album. It was not as big hit as the lead single was, it peaked just outside of the top 40 at #44, in the UK Singles Chart.
#"Pocket" is the third single planned. It was announced by an interview with Popjustice [http://www.popjustice.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=2889&Itemid=9 Sam Sparro Interview] , it was rumoured that the third single would be "Too Many Questions", but the candidates for the third single were "Pocket", "Cottonmouth" or "Hot Mess".
#"Cottonmouth", "Hot Mess" and "Sick" are possible songs that are being considered as the fourth single to come from the album. Sam Sparro believes "Hot Mess" will be received well in UK and Australia.
