U-store-it

U-Store-It (NYSE|YSI)is a self-administered and self-managed real estate company (REIT) focused on the ownership, operation, acquisition and development of self-storage facilities in the United States. Their self-storage facilities are designed to offer affordable, easily accessible and secure storage space for residential and commercial customers. As a national owner and operator, they continually enhance their business by applying their management expertise and best practices to each facility.

According to the Self-Storage Almanac, U-Store-It is the fourth largest owner and operator of self-storage facilities in the United States. The industry in the United States consists of approximately 45,000 facilities with 2.1 billion rentable square feet, out of which the top ten operators collectively own approximately 14.8% of the aggregate rentable square footage market share.
