- Husky the Muskie
Husky the Muskie is the
nickname of a forty-foot tall outdoorsculpture depicting amuskellunge inKenora ,Ontario 's McLeod Park. Since then theeffigy has received national recognition in part due to it size and position alongside theTrans-Canada highway .A call to the public was made for a suitable name for the giant fish and from the hundreds of entries received the name "Huskie the Muskie" was agreed upon by the committee. Bill Brabooke , who also included a slogan with the name which said, "Huskie the Muskie" says "Prevent Water Pollution".References
