Hubert Horatio Humphrey (1911-1978), 38th Vice President of the United States, United States Senator from Minnesota (1949-1964 and 1971-1978), 35th Mayor of Minneapolis, Minnesota (1945-1948) and 1968 Democratic presidential nominee was involved in many statewide and national campaigns from 1940s to 1970s.
