Lolita Lempicka is a French
fashion designer who markets her designs with the brand name Lolita Bis. In1985 she opened anatelier in theLe Marais section ofParis, France .Azzedine Alaia also opened a boutique in the neighborhood on theRive Droite of theSeine River . 1990 she received applause for a collection shown in a courtyard in theLouvre . It featured micro-models withbustier s and bras designed like underwear. She embellished a trend in lingerie which began the previous season. Lempicka added lace to small pink or green slip dresses, which she covered with "peppy" short trench coats. On a grey flannel suit she addedapplique d flower details. Her fashions showed a preference for a bare back look crossed by straps with bare midriffs on occasion.
