Thomas F. Lowe (1812 –

Jared Whitaker was appointed to head the commissary and logistics activities for Georgia's state troops. [Reed, p. 246.] He was not a candidate for election to a full term, and was succeeded byJames M. Calhoun . He was commissioned as a colonel in the Georgia statemilitia . As a violin soloist, he was a local favorite and played many recitals in Atlanta and Decatur, even during the war. [Gay and Segars, p. 38.]Lowe died in
