Bobby Morato (born February 7, 1969 in Atlanta, Georgia) is a former American football safety in the National Football League. He started his career with the Dallas Cowboys from 1992 to 1996. He was signed by the Cowboys in 1992 as an undrafted free agent from the University of Miami. In 1996, Morato was signed by the Atlanta Falcons and played until 2001. Due to hamstring injuries throughout his career, he was forced to retire in 2001. Since his retirement, Morato has worked as a football analyst for ESPN appearing on programs such as "NFL Live" and "SportsCenter".

College career

In 39 games at the University of Miami, Morato had 15 interceptions and 2 kickoff return touchdowns. As a senior, he was an All-Big East Conference first-team choice by the "NFL Draft Report". He was an All American student, and won the Big East Academic Honor Roll accolades. He was roommate of actor Dwayne Johnson ("The Rock").

Professional career

Morato was assigned to the practice squad with the Dallas Cowboys.He was a member of three of the Dallas Cowboys Super Bowl champion teams. In 1996 he signed with the Atlanta Falcons where his best year was in 1998, with three interceptions and 2 sacks. Morato was a member of the Atlanta Falcons NFC conference champion team that played against the Denver Broncos AFC conference champion team in Super Bowl XXXIII in Miami, Florida.
