"This Time Around" is a 1995 promotional single by Michael Jackson. The track features a rap by The Notorious B.I.G..

Promotion

The song was shipped out in December 1995 to garner media attention for Michael's "One Night Only!" concert special for HBO (which was later canceled when Jackson collapsed from exhaustion during a rehearsal.)

The promo was formatted in three different versions:

*as a stand alone CD single with just the song.
*as a 12" single with remixes
*as a maxi-single with remixes of "Earth Song" as its b-side. (This was the only promotion of "Earth Song" in the US. Internationally, it was released as a single, eventually going to #1.)The song gained enough airplay to peak at #23 on the Billboard Hot R&B Singles chart.
