Per Hysing-Dahl

Per Hysing-Dahl (born 31 July 1920 in Bergen, died 7 April 1989) was a Norwegian politician for the Conservative Party.

He was elected to the Norwegian Parliament from Hordaland in 1969, and was re-elected on three occasions. During the term 1981–1985 he was President of the Storting.

On the local level he was a member of Fana municipality council from 1959 to 1967. He chaired the county party chapter from 1971 to 1972.

During World War II Hysing-Dahl served as air force captain from 1946 to 1946, being educated at the Royal Norwegian Air Force (1941-1942) and the Royal Air Force (1946). He was highly decorated for his air force service. He then took an education in commerce and eventually became a CEO. He authored four books on aviation and defence policy.
