Appearance
The Braque-Francais-type Pyrenees is a medium size dog that is well muscled, powerful but not too heavy. The length of the muzzle is slightly shorter then that of the skull. The skull is almost flat or slightly rounded. The nose is brown in color and the lips are pendent, The eyes are chestnut brown or dark yellow. The tail is either docked or naturally short. The coat is fine and short with the color being white with chestnut patches or mottling. They range in weight from 37 to 55 lbs and are 18.5 - 23 inches at tall at the shoulders.
Temperament
They make a fine companion. They learn obedience well and are usually good with both other dogs and children. They are air hunters, using their nose to sniff high in the air to pick up even small scents. In

The life span of the Braque-Francais-Type Pyrenees is 12 to 14 years of age.
