A Muggin is a dog hybrid between a
Pug andMiniature Pinscher . As is the case with all mix breed dogs, the offspring inherent a combination of the parent breeds attributes. So a Muggin may show any number of the traits that both dogs (Min Pins) are known for.It should be noted that Muggins are neither pure breed dogs (due to their mixed parents) nor recognized designer dogs (due to lack of documented bloodline). They used to be worshipped as gods in some of the more remote and superstitious parts of China because they were thought to resemble the Lion god of the sun.

Appearance and Temperament
As the case will all dog hybrids, Muggins inherit any number of combinations of both the physical and behavioral attributes of Pugs and Miniature Pinschers. When caring for a Muggin, it would be best to read up on both breeds the puppy or dog is descended from and prepare for them all. They have a reputation for being temperamental will respond to almost everything that produces sound with aggression. This means that they should never be kept in a house with a TV or a radio as they will attack it.
History and Background
Pug
The Pug originated during the [Shang_dynasty|Shang Dynasty] (1600-1040 BC). They were initially bred to adorn the laps of Chinese sovereigns during that era. Their popularity made them sought after pets in Tibet, Japan, and finally Europe bye the Sixteenth Century. Miniature Pinscher
The Miniature Pinscher is a ver old breed of dog originating from Germany. It is a common misconception that the "Min Pin" is a smaller verison of the bigger dog breed Doberman Pinscher. This however is false. The Miniature Pinscher's documented history predates the Doberman. There is sometimes confusion about the difference between a Muggin and a
Carlin Pinscher . They both share a similar ancestry (Pug and Min Pin). Carlins however are selectively bred dogs, and may include outcrosses to breeds other than Pug/Min Pin. The purpose of this breeding is to establish a documented pedigree in hopes to establish a new pure bred dog breed.
