Diane Hamby has served as an Iredell County Commissioner and was the last Democrat to be elected to the Commissioners Board Diane Hamby takes on Foxx.
Diane Hamby has served in many capacities in the Iredell County Democratic Party, such as chair and first vice-chair.
Diane and her husband Terry currently own a paint contracting company, D&T Painting and have previously owned a trucking company D&T Trucking.
Diane was instrumental in the founding of two public charter schools and then merging those schools in 2007. She has served as the chair of the American Renaissance School Board for over 10 years.
