Main-belt Asteroid discovered onby at .Discovered 1999 Apr. 10 by the Lowell Observatory Near-Earth Object Search at the Anderson Mesa Station. Named after Professor John C. Zarnecki (b. 1949), of the Open University, Milton Keynes, who has developed spacecraft instrumentation to study the surfaces and atmospheres of planets, satellites and small bodies. He was a PI for the Huygens probe/lander on the Cassini mission to Saturn and Saturn VI (Titan). External links
