Alessio Secco is an Italian director of football for the Italian club
Juventus .Alessio Secco was promoted to his current position in the aftermath of former director Luciano Moggi's departure following the
Calciopoli scandal.Secco joined the Juventus ranks in 1999 as a press secretary, but started working as team manager in 2000, directly under Luciano Moggi. He rose to his current position on May 23rd, 2006.
Alessio Secco has been under constant criticism by "Biancanera" fans due to his failure in buying top class players. He is responsible for the purchases of players such as
Tiago Mendes ,Sergio Almirón , andJean-Alain Boumsong (during the 2007-2008 season) of whom only Tiago remains at the club. During the January transfer window, he signedMohamed Sissoko andGuglielmo Stendardo , the latter on a loan deal.
