Fire Brats is a series of books about two teenagers Matt and Dani who both survive post apocalyptic World War 3. The books were written by Barbara Siegel, Scott Siegel and Barbara Steiner.
Overview
Fire Brats is a tense, action-packed series set in the aftermath of World War 3, it follows the desperate struggles of two teenagers Matt and Dani to escape the horrors of a nuclear-bombed city and find a new life. Everything they know has been destroyed as they need all their wits to survive.
The Burning Land
Matt and Dani scarcely knew one another when the unthinkable happened, World War 3. Thrown together in a theartre basement, living on junk food and suffer a mild form of Radiation Sickness, they were desperate to get out. Dani screamed "I hear somebody out there" with delight, "Matt they're in the stairwell, They're trying to dig us out!". In a mad frenzy, she unlocked the door, flung it open and raced into the debris-strewn stairwell-right into a pack of badly burned wild dogs. When an earthquake destroys the building over their heads a month later, they dig their way out to find themselves threatened by a gang of escaped convicts. They escape to head for California, where the hero hopes to find the rest of his family still alive.
urvivors
The protagonists cross a huge river on a raft, are taken in by a kindly old survivalist who teaches them various useful techniques and helps them destroy a pack of bandits. The hero and heroine take turn's rescuing each other from peril throughout this series.
Thunder Mountain
As the dust storm struck with all its fury, Matt and Dani struggled despareteley to hold on. Like a million needles, the dust particles cut at them, blinding them. The dirt filled their noses and mouths. They had to reach the shelter of Thunder Mountain. But was it wasn't really the safe refuge they needed.
hockwave
As nuclear autumn persists the protagonists foil a band of slave-trading bikers and save Denver from flooding caused by a lake which was formed by the bombing.
